Another fun week ahead that starts with the first of many groovy movies brought to you by Orbit Dvd’s own Marc Mcloud. There will be a round of trivia followed by hand picked trailers and our film of the evening “It should have been Rocky Horror”-M.Mcloud. We’ll have concessions for sale and our usual great selection of beer and wine.
Night-The Power residency continues with rock-n-roll stylings from (Athens by way of Japan) Pinky Poodle Doodle, the White Oak Splits and the Asheville premier of Ancient Ethel (Missy from Jackson Harem’s new band)!
March is a big month here at Fleetwood’s rock-n-roll wedding chapel! With South by Southwest approaching, tons of touring bands are heading our way. In order to bring the best straight to you, we will be open on Monday and Tuesday nights for the next three weeks!
This week we start the string of heavy hitters with:
Tuesday –Daddy’s Beemer/BEX/Rowdy Leaf and a solo set from Boy Scott. This will be a garagey dream pop show guaranteed to make you gaze at your shoes and notice that your toes are tapping. This show starts at 8:30 and is $5 adv and $7 day of. $3 up charge for under 21.
Thursday– This will be the 3rd time we’ve been lucky enough to have A Deer A Horse slay the Chapel. Do not miss this show with new-ish to town Harriers of Discord and Thresher! This show starts at 8:30 and is $5 adv and $7 day of. $3 up charge for under 21.
Friday– The weekend starts with a sonic assault of noise with our first annual Noise Fest. Noise artists from Asheville and Johnson City circuit bending and mind melting. 9pm start $7
Sunday- So excited for our second show with Karen Meat “Did you know Blondie and Joan Jett had a baby? I didn’t, either. They raised her on hot dogs and DaDa and they named her Karen Meat.” You don’t want to miss this one! Secret Diary and Space Heater will further help set the mood.
